Your Scouting journey continues from around 10½ years old right up until you turn 15 here at the 4th Streatham Sea Scouts. It’s our most popular section — so popular, in fact, that we currently have a waiting list.

Because so many of you want to join, we run two Scout troops during term time: Poseidon Troop on Wednesdays (19:30 – 21:00*) and Neptune Troop on Thursdays (18:30-20:00*). You’ll get the same brilliant experience whichever troop you’re in, plus the chance to meet up for the occasional inter-troop challenge!

As a Scout, you’ll build real skills for life while having a great time with your friends. You’ll get stuck into water-based activities, exciting games, plenty of teamwork, and loads of opportunities to earn badges for things you’ve achieved — both on your own and as part of a team.

There are also plenty of chances to head off on adventure beyond our usual meetings. From camps and sleepovers to exciting competitions, there’s always something going on. One of the biggest events in the calendar is the Great River Race, where you’ll help crew our traditional wooden gig along the River Thames — a proper test of stamina, teamwork and spirit that you’ll never forget!

Scouting is all about finding out what you’re capable of, having loads of fun, and doing things you might never get the chance to do anywhere else.

*Spring term: 17:45 – 21:30 both nights as we are at the boathouse

Is Scouting for you?

Scouts isn’t for everyone—it’s for people who like to have fun, get stuck in, make new friends and challenge themselves to be better. Does that sound like you?

Scout Leaders

All of our leaders are trained volunteers, working to make sure Scouting is safe, inclusive and accessible.

Some lead the Pack week in and week out while others visit occasionally to help run a session or drop in to share their skills. No matter how much time you have to spare, find out about volunteering on your own terms.
