Becoming a Cub
Our Cubs section welcomes children aged 8 to 10½ years. We meet every Friday evening from 18:30 to 20:15 for fun-filled activities and exciting adventures.
Cubs enjoy a wide variety of activities, from games that foster teamwork and life skills to working towards earning badges. With an impressive range of badges to aim for, every Cub has something to strive for. The highest achievement is the Chief Scout’s Silver Award, earned by completing all eight challenge badges.
At the 4th Streatham Sea Scouts, being a Cub means showing up regularly, getting stuck in, and making the most of what we have to offer. While most of our meetings take place at our hall in Streatham, as a Sea Scout group, we also enjoy sessions at our boathouse in Putney. Here, Cubs get hands-on experience with boating, kayaking, and even powerboating!

From thrilling night hikes to creative challenges, adventure is at the heart of everything we do in Cubs. Whether it’s exploring new places, competing in fun games, or camping under the stars, every Cub has the chance to develop skills, make new friends, and take on exciting challenges.
Cub Leaders
All of our leaders are trained volunteers, working to make sure Scouting is safe, inclusive and accessible.
Some lead the Pack week in and week out while others visit occasionally to help run a session or drop in to share their skills. No matter how much time you have to spare, find out about volunteering on your own terms.
